The Programme of Conservation Work focussed on the Church Windows and the Wentworth Monument.

Some of the beautiful Windows, one of the glories of the Church, were in a very poor state. A schedule of restoration of the Windows was carried out by specialist Glaziers.

This work was started in December 2011 and is now complete.

The Monument to Sir Thomas Wentworth with its life-sized effigies needed careful repair.

This has been carried out by specialist Conservators.

The work on the Monument began in mid-May 2012 and is now completed.

You can now see the Monument in all its restored glory in a refurbished Bretton Chapel.

Come to the Church to see DVD's and PowerPoint presentations about the conservation  work and talk to the volunteers of the group.

The presentations about the work on the windows and monument  can be viewed on a large screen in the South Aisle of the Church.
